Welcome
Welcome to Touka Koukan! This site is dedicated to hosting fanworks for the series Fullmetal Alchemist or Hagane no Renkinjutsushi! Thank you for taking the time to visit us! Explanations of the various terms we use to describe fanworks can be found below.
Types of Fanworks
- All is the section dedicated to all fanfiction on this site. However, the all section can only be sorted by author. If you're interested in a particular fanfiction that you have read before, you will have to select the romantic genre first. Below are some of the romantic genres hosted on Touka Koukan.
- Yaoi stands for 'yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi' and means no climax, no point, no meaning. Basically, it's fanart and fanfiction that takes two guys and pairs them together romantically with, oftentimes, very little plot involved. Shounen ai means simply 'boy love' and is the same thing, occasionally containing plot or a lower rating. So, the yaoi section is for the posting of male/male fanfiction relating to Fullmetal Alchemist.
- Yuri is the female counterpart to yaoi. Shoujo ai means simply 'girl love' and is the counterpart to shounen ai. Yuri takes two girls and pairs them together romantically. So, the yuri section is for the posting of female/female fanfiction relating to Fullmetal Alchemist.
- Het stands for heterosexual. This section is simply for the pairing of a man and a woman in a romantic relationship. So, the het section is for the posting of male/female fanfiction relating to Fullmetal Alchemist.
- Gen stands simply for general and is fanfiction that has no romantic pairings of any kind. General fanfiction typically is character specific, plot based or only includes canon (original storyline) based romances.
- Fanart is art that has been drawn by fans of Fullmetal Alchemist. The fanart section can be sorted by pairing, artist, and rating. It is not romantically based in any one genre.
- Downloads is the section where you can get fanworks that were done elsewhere and successfully published. Touka Koukan understands that a lot of this material is difficult for people living outside of Japan to get ahold of. So, we post doujinshi (fan drawn comics) for you to download. We also include scanlations (fan drawn comics translated into English) for you to download. For more details, contact Shuki Ai.
